Before and After

We have lived in our new house for 1 week now and have accomplished a lot. All walls, ceilings, windows, and closets are cleaned and painted (with the exception of bathrooms, laundry room, & kitchen) and we have fresh new carpet and had the hardwood floors re-finished. We have many family members to thank for helping us with all of the work- we have great families!
We have a lot of work ahead of us still, but the major things are done and we are loving our new house!

This is what 3 quick swipes with a razor blade will get you in our kitchen- we have a lot of work to do in this room :)

This is the furnace filter that was in the furnace before we moved in:

Our new house has lots of potential, but needs a lot of work in order to get there. Here is the first of many before and after pictures.

The Big Move

After a lot of uncertainty, Justin and I finally closed on our new home on New Year's Eve. Although we have a lot of hard work in front of us, we are still breathing a sigh of relief that we were able to find a great tenant for our townhouse and successfully move to Fort Collins. We left a clean, new home for an older house that needs a lot of cleaning, fixing, and love. We are excited to be able to do most of the work ourselves (with a lot of help from our wonderful families) and transform our previously uncared for house into a place that we will be able to call home.

We are staying with Justin's parents while we work on the house. We've made a lot of progress on our house, but have much more left to do. We are close to finalizing our carpet choice- once the carpet is installed, we will be able to move in. We can't wait!
